As mentioned earlier, they're simple grounding switches. Pull them out, they're L shaped. Clean the corrosion off of the business end of the switch and lube it up (I used synth brake grease) so the spring moves the plunger freely.
It not only needs good continuity on the switch, but to the body itself. You can clean up the door jamb it installs onto and use new screws because they're pretty and conduct better than rusty ones.
