I use my phone most of the time but I keep a Nikon cool pix camera in our car that i bought at Wally world. Iirc it was like $75, we also have a Canon SX40is it's all the camera I will ever need. good luck with your decision.

i do not have a camera on my phone so that it why i am looking for a cheap camera to use from time to time and then put it awayComment

I've had a Canon for years. Think somebody already mentioned the model. It's an ELPH. Good simple camera.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.
