So I was browsing the internet looking for a performance piston for my quad. I looked on some top sites. Wiseco.com etc.. on wiseco i found that they make performance pistons for the 1.8 bp engines. I also read in various internet sites stating the b6t and bp were build using basically the same internals includeing the pistons. Would i have a problem installing oversized pistons from a 1.8 bp into a 1.6 b6t. has anyone did it yet. I believe it will add more power. what else must be done if bigger pistons are added. can someone tell em anything about this, sean[/url]

well you must realize that a 1.8 piston if bigger in circumfrance than a 1.6 so that means basically boring out the 1.6 to a 1.8, and I think someone said this can't be done because of the length of the block, and it would make the cylinder walls to thin or something.
Why not just use a BP and get the stroker kit that brings it up to 2.0l

I recently purchased a b6t. now im going to autobody school, I just want to show up the rest of the students with a festiva. I was reading they were an exact fit from another festiva site. just a though since i like the pistons wiseco puts out. seanHad two 93 Gl's Sold one siezed one and parted out threw these forums. A naturally born festy lover. Bought 3 festivas but 1 might have to go, let you know soon.
