    JY visit.....

    Found 5 festies in a local JY yesterday morning. There is an 88 L. 89L, 89LX, 90L, and a 92L. Today I saw the 89LX and it had everything. The problem is it was missing its windshield and driver door window. The split back seat is in great shape but the to fromt seats are full of mold. The seat are in perfect shape otherwise. No rips, burnholes, or wear except for the damn mold. My question is, is it salvageable? Here is a few pics:



    Out of everything so far I got 3 smoothies, a set of power mirrors, a split back seat, a console, 2 radiators, 2 fans, 1 thermostat housing, gas cap door, 2 dome lights, and a few other parts. I plan on going back, I just ran out of time & have to get to work.

    Yesterday I took a drivers door off a red 92L, a vertical support piece with hood latch on the front, 1 rad fan, & a radio/heater control cover.

    I plan on getting a passenger door off the 88l blue one, somemore thermostat housings and a few other things.

        I think so, do you mean in the back sides?

            I'm not sure, I wasn't paying much attention to that area in that car. I think it is.

                Sigh. I get excited when there's simply an Aspire or Rio at my yards.

                        Looking for the rear hatch deck for an aspire lol i know 1 in a million. Also SE cluster and wing but thats even rarer. Have you seen the aspires? Are they all completely base model?

                          Yes, I only saw one and the front end was missing. Of course, I wasn't looking for Aspires. The most I seen in the yard were Geo metros and Chevy chevettes. alot of the cars in there are older models.
                          The place is a swamp, The 89LX and the 89L were way back in the yard and we had to hike to them halfway back because the place is like a swamp. I was a muddy mess when i was done.

                            Those pics in the beginning of this post are 2 seats. They have mold on them really bad, but the seats them selves are in great shape.
                            Anyway to salvage those seats???
