Glad to see that I am not the only one who thinks so. lol

It is a labor of love, not investment. Moreso for me since this is my first car ever, and I bought it myself. Most kids these days are spoiled and get thier first car for free from mommy and daddy.

Sounds tempting, but I am not sure about dropping $450 right now. Not after dropping $400 for the B6 and installation. My part time job doesn't pay that well lol, especially when I only work 25 hours a week.

Including a paint job that ran up to $2K, the tires I bought and 2 sets of wheels (1 all the way from Canada) and all the parts I've bought (mostly interior stuff), I've probably spent $4K, maybe $5K. I must be crazy, like the rest of you.

But to answer your question about regrets.....no, at least not yet. I want to turn my 2 Festys into the cars I know they deserve to be.

I can't believe you guys only have 92 octane fuel as premium.

Our base fuel is 91 for 100% unleaded.
              93 Ron for 10% ethanol.
              95 premium
              98 premium
              100 premium

                I have no regrets.

I have spent up to $2,000 to $2,500 on just Shadow alone. With all the problems that car has had and still has with the body rust issues, I spend $25 a week for gas with Shadow compared to $50 a week when I was driving my truck everyday!

The other 3 festies G-dine and I have need work too and more money has already been spent on those to get them road worthy. New tires for Squig & Blue, new struts for blue, getting an a/c put in on Squig ..... Those things alone will cost another $800, maybe, just for parts. Red is still in question of what to do with. If I keep Red running it needs an engine overhaul or another one (It burns way to much oil), struts, radiator, battery .... to name a few.

                      I've gotta add....
Although I'm mechanically minded, apart from removing and reinstalling a b6 in my old laser wagon (tracer in the usa), I'd never delved into any kind of car build.
The education I've gotten and am still getting here is worth 10 times what I've spent.
