  • What's better than one BPT?

    Two is

Well I've been eyeing this 323GTX for a while now. I was trying to make a deal to trade the BP car for it but that fell thru. So I sold my 68 mustang and went to the Detroit area today and picked this up.

1988 GTX. Here's the specs from the for sale ad:

    - 1.8L BPT engine and BPT transmission with custom motor mounts
    - Custom shift linkage
    - Brand new 550cc fuel injectors
    - Brand new 15 gal fuel cell located in a custom pan in the trunk
    - Brand new Optima red top battery and battery box relocated in trunk
    - Brand new MSD fuel pump (needs to be mounted)
    - Custom C&R Racing aluminum radiator
    - Custom log style exhaust manifold with Swain ceramic coating
    - T3/T4 turbo .63 A/R
    - Custom top mount intercooler with full 3" tubing used throughout
    - Custom 3" downpipe with heat wrap and O2 bung
    - Custom 3" exhaust made from 3" mandrel aluminized pipe
    - New wastegate and BOV
    - All new engine sensors (Water, IAT, Oil Pressure, etc...)
    - Custom Ford idle air control valve
    - Engine converted to distributorless ignition using EDIS-4 setup and 36-1 wheel welded to crank pulley
    - New power streering fluid overflow tank and custom stainless lines
    - New stainless clutch line
    - Existing KYB GR2 suspension and stock springs

This is still a project car and much needs done but so much has been done.

    Here's a few pics:

More pics later. I need to unpack all the boxes and see what I have.

Finish it for sure. I have all the front end stuff. This is a 100% rust free GTX. Very clean, probably one of the cleanest left. The previous owner did a real nice job on it so far. Nothing he did will need changed, very professional job. There's a lot of mechanical work left to do and I need a figure out a megasquirt system.

        Here's the previous owners pics:
