    You are correct sir.
Some places have the ability to turn the rotors while on the car.
Or you can replace the bearing and swap in new rotors.

This is one reason why the aspire swap is so popular.
The rotors can be replaced by removing two screws.

Hi there Old Yellow, long time no see. I hope all is going well.

You are correct; after you pull the caliper remove the bearing cover/cap and remove the large nut. The rotor should pull off.

This would be a great time to install those Aspire hubs that you have.

I just did this. Upper and lower ball joints bolts have to come off, Strut nuts will need to be removed and the hub nut has to come off. It will all pop off. Then you have to remove the dust shield (From the back) and then the hub and rotor can be separated. Rock Auto has brakes and rotors are fair priced!! I think I got the set for $25

Festiva rotors are bolted on. The bolt heads are hidden behind the steering knuckle. The steering knuckle is pressed onto the hub and held in place by the axle nut. The knuckle has to be pulled off the hub to remove the rotor. It's a good idea to torque the rotor bolts on correctly. Last winter one of my rotors came loose a year or so after I had replaced the rotors and I had to pull the wheel apart again to tighten them. It took quite a while to figure out where the noise was coming from. I replaced sway bar bushing, tie rod ends, axle, and was about to replace motor mounts when a mechanic friend discovered the loose rotor.

What did the loose rotor sound like? Was it like a bearing going bad?

The loose rotor didn't sound like a bearing going bad. The rotor knocked and clicked as the car went over bumps, more easy to mistake for a worn or loose strut assembly (ie shock absorber).
