The intake (Escort) and brake booster line (323) are done the same way I do mine, looks like they used part of the escort passenger side mount too. Thats an aluminum Civic radiator, popular swap. Doesn't look like the firewall was harmed so the engine has been rocked forward a bit. I'm guessing the trans is a G25MR becuase it looks like its got a hydro clutch setup, but I could be wrong. I think I see a feed tube for the master cylinder coming from the brake reservior. Looks like a hardline running from that general area toward the front of the trans as well. Not sure what the bracket looking thing is though that is coming from the top distributor cap bolt. I looks like it is attached to the radiator? Or maybe it just goes over the radiator and attaches in front of the rad. Either way, it seems strange to me.

      Nice looking car overall!
      No festiva for me ATM...

There is good news and bad news. The good news is that she made it home, the bad news is that it was against the advice of the mechanic.
From what I understand the carrier bearing that the cv axle attaches to is broke and just hanging out in there with the bolts for the bracket broke off in the transmission casing/engine block (not sure which, have to get it up on blocks and see where it attaches.) Its on coilovers the mechanic said the back ones were not installed correctly, to me it looks like my tires are to big ( I know they scrape in turns) but since I was fighting against the clock to get over the pass before it got nasty I just went ahead. Need to replace the valve cover gasket, it is leaking oil into the plugs, it back fires when down shifting as well as runs a little rough. Compression tested #1 140 #2 120 #3 130 #4 130. Exhaust is loud loud for my preference. The clutch has a very short leash and sure can jump if you don't ease into it.

Wasn't expecting the cut core support.

Is this Radiator stop leak crap all around the radiator hoses and engine bay? One thing I can say is the engine runs cold, I could barely get the needle to move unless at idle.

          LED interior lighting, classy
          100_1193.jpg
Rear coilover almost resting on tire, the current tires are 14", I know nothing about coilovers but is this something I can adjust or do I need smaller tires?
          100_1189.jpg
Radiator hose sits a little close for comfort

When I picked her up at Copart

But despite all this it hauled up over the pass alright, though a little underpowered. Im sure oil doesnt ignite as well as gas . It has the most ridiculous multi colored led dome light. Led interior lighting and other touches that brought me back to 16 again. I got home somewhat late and than was poking around the car for a bit in the dark with the flash light. I will get more pictures in the light, interested in something specific let me know. I am open to any knowledge or advice :-).

So I have been reading over Skeeters_keeper diy coilover threads. Now that I have an idea what I should be looking at I will try and get the wheels off and get it on stands tonight and take some pictures of the suspension. First I have to get a socket for the lock nuts, and wait for work to get over.

Core support kinda sucks, I wouldn't care for that

Put an Escort dome light on there

Looks like stop leak (thumb down)

As long as rad hose and coilover don't rub, they should be ok (can shorten the hose end opposite the rad) Are there any rub marks on the coilover?

What an awesome project! It is really cool that you already have so much to work with.

yep, 230 miles and no problems. I am pretty sure it was stop leak because the radiator leaks lol, the temp is either on COLD or it runs out and goes pretty quickly to hot, but the leak is pretty slow. The radiator that is there is overkill, so I am looking for a smaller rad and to reinforce the core support so that it has some strength again. I am replacing the valve cover gasket possibly later today or tomorrow, from what I could see from the oil fill it looks really clean inside and the oil is nice and clean. It has been nasty weather here so I haven't done much to her, and have only taken her to the store and back pretty much.

http://www.pandahi.com/1037311005.html Found this today. It is a for sale ad for my car from back in October. I emailed the person to see if I could get any more information on the car.

I got the valve cover replaced and that stopped the smoke show on startup. She still seems to hesitate when stepping into it, than out of nowhere will get a burst of acceleration, any ideas?(Im not sure how PO was claiming 30-36 mpg I dont think I am getting better than 25, could it be related?) The front windshield wipers just stopped working the other day, checked fuse and it's okay, going to break out the multimeter tomorrow to see if it is still getting power to the motor. The wiring is a mess and I will have to go through and clean it up before someday it just wont start, it was hacked poorly when the swap went in. I am looking for someone in the PNW that might be able to lend a hand on some things in the next few months as the weather gets nicer, I can trade beer and labor. Let me know if anyone is interested, I could most likely travel within reasonable distance come spring.

I recommend getting some new terminals from easternbeaver.com to fix the wiring.
Extra striped wire can be gotten at a junkyard or from eBay.

                          You may need this.

I also recommend cleaning the seat fabric in the washing machine and hog ring them back on.

I really want to wash the interior but have never hog ringed a cover back on so that is new territory, I have a tendency to get over zealous and than do more harm than good. The drivers side has a hole that I am not sure what to do with and needs the right seem restitched as well, I was afraid if I washed it that it might further come apart. Thank you for the link on the terminals, I think that will help alot as well as the diagram.

When I hogring, I use the same holes. so that you couldn't tell that it wasn't factory. Here is the standard.

So beautiful, that's enough motivation for me. Has anyone tried replacing a panel of the fabric before, like I said there is a large hole on the left side of the drivers seat, and if I am going to pull the covers off I just as well see what i can do about repairing the stitching and fixing the hole. I would just need to know where I can get some fabric that will at least pass from a few feet or it will drive me nuts.
