So a hydro G series seems to be more plentiful around here rather than its XR2 cable counterpart, but I have a few questions.
Quoting the Club Protege B series swap FAQ:
"The Protege LX, Escort GT & LX-E and Tracer LTS all have G-series transmissions. These transmissions are used in numerous Mazdas including all 2.0 4-cylinder & 2.5 V6 MX-3, MX-6, 626, Ford Probe and 01+ Protege's."
" you will need to get the axles, intermediate shaft from a 90-94 Protege LX, 92-94 MX-3 GS or 91-96 Ford Escort GT/LX-E or Tracer LTS."
1) So am I correct to assume that if say I got my g series out of a ford probe, I would still be in need of escort gt/xr2 axles/intermediate shaft?
2) Are the automatic and manual axles and intermediate shaft the same or do I have to get the axles out of a manual car?
3) Will I be able to use whichever flywheel/clutch is attached to the engine from any of the previous cars, or will it have to be from specifically, the xr2/escort gt?
4) Are there any good guides/explanations to making the hydraulic adapter/how it works for the clutch?
Thanks in advance.
