Can I put 14 inch tires on the stock festi suspension without rubbing ? I have all the parts to do the aspire swap but not the wheels. I can not find any 13's. They always get snatched up before I get to them.

It depends on the height of the sidewall. I would think a lower profile 14 inch tire wouldn't rub. I have fairly tall 175/70R13's on my Aspire swapped Festiva, and they do not rub. I would recommend using this site http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-comparison/ to find a tire that is close in circumference to the stock 145/80R12 to prevent rubbing and ensure speedometer accuracy, then see what tires you can buy in that size. You may have to play with the numbers a bit to find something in your desired price range, but I'm sure there's something out there that will work.Axlander9289, brother of ThisVelologist

I have 165/60-14s. I also have fms springs which lower it a little. Mine do not scrub unless I go over a bump while turning.

I just called a guy with some honda 13's with new tires for 125.00, Gone right before I called. I think I am going to have a lot easier time finding 14's. Thanks for all the input.Comment

If you have a 14x5.5" wheel in high offset (40+) you'll scrub less than you would with a 14x6" wheel in a 35 offset, which normally is enough to push the tires into the fender well. The 14" equivalent to the 12" OEM tire is a 165/55R14.In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

165/55R 14" is a tough size to find. lotsa options in the 185/60 size which is only slightly greater circumference over stock with better road holding potential. Agree 5.5 wide is the ideal , think Miata!Comment

Do 14" tires fit without rubbing
I ran 185/60/14 on an Aspire.... Don't know how they would do on a Festiva
Besides my festiva said it came stock with 165/70/12 tires
