Wow! Looks like fun i enjoy bodywork, lol. I hope your storing the car indoors when your not working on it? or at least keeping the rain off the bodyfiller? Otherwise it wont be a rust free car for long.
Gonna use rock guard on the rocker panels before paint?

Sadly I don't have a shop. I keep primer covering the exposed metal when I'm not sanding. As far as rock guards go I don't know. I might once I get a decent pant job going.

Just don't swap cams keep the cam with the rockers it has.
You can swap your festiva cam if you want to swap rockers.

          That sucks.
Bodyfiller also soaks up water fast if exposed-like a sponge-and rusts the metal below it. But its good that your priming it.
Are you planning to paint it more than once or what do you mean?

For now I plan to fill it prime it, seal it and drive it until I can find a place to spray the overcoat and clear. Depending on how the body work turns out I'll put chip guard on it. If its not so great I won't worry about it.

Just an update. Apparently the motor was ran dry as well. The pistons were all warped so I am going to get new pistons put on the rods Monday.

I'm going to go get some things Saturday. If I don't get plastics I'll shoot you a pm. I'm not worried about scratches.

I would get it lol but I have nowhere to put it. And nothing to put it in. I think I'm going to do a bp swap to my grey car soon.

If your driving a festiva up they fit well in the spair tire well.
                          :-)

If the red one is ready I'll drive it. If not I'll be in my business truck. My grey festiva's engine has almost seen its last days.

Made awesome progress today got the pistons in the block, polished the valves on the new head and everything ready for it to be put together. I'm very excited to see this car run like it should. Also I am very thankful for the support of the forum. You guys are pretty awesome.
