  • ECM compatibility with "88 engine swap into '93 body?

I have a 1988 Festiva with low miles, however it was a Chicago car and is burdened with lots of rust.
I am considering swapping that engine/trans into a 1993 body. (dead engine).

Anyone have an idea about compatibility of the 88' vs. 93' ECM "computer" ?
How close to just switching them (plug n' play) can I get? Or is it even necessary?

*The older car is carburetor/mechanical fuel pump and the newer one is Fuel Injected/electric fuel pump in tank.

There is no compatability. You use the 88 long block, as in block and head, with the 93 intake manifold and everything else.
