My latest bill was $321 (with Progressive) for 6 months coverage for liability and comprehensive on my 3 (89, 90 and 92) Festivas.
But then all 3 are pleasure driving only and my wife and I have only had 1 ticket each in our lifetime and no accidents ever that we were at fault, plus we are both over 70.

I have allstate and i pay about 60$ a month for 2 festivas! But i also have my house, an audi tt, f250 and 2 trailers with them. I am also my local branches highest paying customer! So they treat me like gold. When i call 1 or 2 times a year and complain i get 5-10$ off each month.

They try to quote my bikes a few times each year! They know i have several and they try to work on my prices to get that money as well. So far they have not been able to get their bike insurance down enough.
1990 (LUCIFER 2.0) fully built BP+T with E153, Fueltech FT500, traction control with hopes of 600hp (i drank to much of the KOOL-AID)
1990 OverKILL BP+T, evo ecu system, coilovers, aspire brakes, full advanced suspension, Garrett! The Autocross toy!
      1989 (BRITSTIVA 1.0) B6T and sold
      19?? 150$ burnout car SOLD
      1991 (STRESS RELIEF)SOLD

you might be able to get classic plates if your state offers them. i think a vehicle 15 yrs. old is eligible in PA and insurance is lower. also the driving restrictions aren't as strict as they are for antique plates.

You pay that much because you are in the fine state of Michigan like me and have to pay into the catastrophic claims fund. That alone is a couple hundred dollars a year.

Age 47 1993 Ford Festiva listed as daily driver with 15k miles a year. I have 100k/300k Liability and 100k/300k Uninsured Motorist Bodily injury, no comprehensive or collision. $134 a year with Progressive . I have four vehicles. 1993 Festiva, 1981 AMC Eagle, 2000 Ford E350 and 1988 Isuzu Trooper and pay $730 a year for all. Your credit score also has some to do with your rate.

I don't believe the credit score thing at all. I was paying normal "teen male" rates with a credit score in the 700s. Right now my score is 765 FICO, and I pay a typical rate for "young" and this area.

I was in the insurance business for a short time. If you had really bad credit your rate would be affected.

You need to call around for a better rate or move out of Michigan if they charge everybody that much.
