Also the carb seems to be choking the cars under aggressive acceleration and I from what I found the stock carb is kinda wonky, what's the best/ most economical replacement or is it better to do the $20 tune up kit and stick with stock carb?
Im not real sure on a rebuild for the stock carb....my personal opinion which is what i did is to switch to a mid 80s escort carb look on enay i got mine pretty cheap, i made my own adapter plate for the intake mount but if i had it to do over again i would snag an adapter from rocketman he is on here those adapters look greatn the carb swap isnt too bad i would say worst thing was getting the throttle cable relocated but it still rotates the same way good luck and if u run into any issue dont hesitate to ask on here lots of guys with alot of experience on here, i only know alittle but i will help if i can

So now that I've got to drive the car a little my number one concern, mostly for annoyance, is the humming wheel bearing, I think it's the passenger rear but I'm not positive. Are the just press ins and where is the best place to get them? Also my axels are clicking pretty good, both outer boots are ripped, I found a set new On eBay for $90 but is there a way just to get the outer cv joints?

Also I've been noticing the the car is a little boaty at speed. The control arm bushing are pretty well mushroomed. Could that be my issue or is it more likely the big sway bar and bushings?

The rear bearings are a standard inner/outer design, the races need pressed into the drum.
the right rear is reverse thread
Do not hesitate with this repair, the RR spindle is the most damaged part on a Festiva because ppl don't pay attention and remove it incorrectly.

You can get new boots, but once they start clicking, that means damaged bearings. Also, proper boot replacement is a PITA to perform. New axles are the way to go here, and the price you found is great.

A floating sensation can usually be attributed to bad struts and or alignment.
