The Aspire rear struts will allow you to use larger rear tires without the tires rubbing on the spring perches. The perches are located higher up the tube. I am running Escort GT 15" wheels with 195 x50 x15 Kuhmo's with no clearance issues on my rear Aspire beam. You may find the height of the rear end too tall for your liking. I removed 1 coil from my springs to get the ride height acceptable.

I have done half of the conversion. Just the rear beam and brakes. It stops fine with the stock Festiva master cylinder/booster. I am in the early stages of the B6T swap. As it all comes together I will be putting the Aspire hubs and brakes on and I will get back to you on the braking performance.'88 Festiva LX 5 speed, A/C, Carb, restored $$$ body paint, badly wrecked @ 200k.
'93 Festiva L, 5 speed, Aqua, bought from the original owner,.Zero rust but very nasty otherwise. Awaits the B6T.
'91 Festiva L, 5 speed, bought to drive while putting the B6T in the '93. now B6ME powered.
