  • No need to pull the to pull the plugs, if it sucked too much water running it would have hydrolocked or bent a rod.I'm willing to bet it is cap.rotor or wires or a combination of all three dry the cap and rotor and see how it runs.

    • Okay that makes things easier since I don't have any tools with me. Everything is probably dry since it's been sitting for almost 3 days, but I am still going to check the cap and possibly spray some wd40 in there.
      Thanks so much guys!

      • It started fine and made it home. But on the highway my check engine light came on and that has never happened before. It went off and came back on a couple times but it stayed off and hasn't come back on again now. Is there something I should check out?

Yup, you should read the code and see why it turned on

          • Good idea! I will read the code. Will it provide a code even if the check engine light is no longer on? It hasn't come on since that drive.

Today at a stop I noticed something, my car was idling rough. When I let off the brake (because I was on flat ground) it smoothed out. And I think the harder I pressed the brake the rougher it idled, not sure on that part just know when I press the brake it idles rough. Maybe that night in the rain I just had my pedal down way too hard. Is this a vacuum problem? Seems like it has to be coming from the brake booster or something like that. probably obvious

The codes should be stored. Easy way to check: When you turn the key to the On position, if they CEL stays lit, that means the code is stored

How long should it stay on for when there are no stored codes?

                  • Can you do the key jiggle dance (cycle the ignition on and off a few times without starting it) on these to get codes like on the 80's/90's Chrysler's?

I've only had mine for 2 days now and she likes to throw the CLE seemingly at random.

Also, glad you got your young and dumb learning how far you can push your car out of the way with no injuries and minimal damage.

I spun my first car, a 1993 Plymouth Sundance, 3 times around on dry pavement at 70mph when I was 17 trying to drive an old pizza car on the original factory suspension and 4 bald tires like it was an F1 car.
I kept it on the road somehow but I don't think my pants survived that intact, that poor took so much abuse before I sold it for $50

There is a small black plug in the engine bay that you ground out. The CEL will then blink the code out when you turn on the key
