    Hi, I'm new here but if it's only a small/minor oil leak, how bout just have a couple quarts on hand? So long as it is not hemorrhaging and significant amount you should be ok.

    And as ryanprins13 says, ya gotta save it!!

    Good luck, I hope you can rescue it.

        When I have the leak fixed (between now and Thanksgiving), I will have it given a good look-over and fix anything that needs it. My Mom still has every single receipt from anything she's had done on it for the last 40,000 miles. I have a sister right there (which is why my Mom is moving), so I can have her put a few miles on it after the repairs to make sure nothing obvious falls off.

        I've been away for a while, but dang: I like this forum!

            Looooong story short, I have the car in my possession now, the leak seems trivial, it drives great, I'm happy, my Mom's happy!
