how do i change the blower motor, some times it wont
come non and when it dose its real slow,

It's probably the resistor and not the motor.
Test first before you remove the dash.

If you stick your head down by the pedals and look up with a flashlight youll see a set of wires going to the motor and another set going to the resistor. Replace the resistor with a new one or a used one thats known to be good before replacing the fan. Its usually the resistor and be careful with used ones, their real easy to damage.

you won't need to pull the dash to change the motor. just get a plenum and wiring out of the way, undo 3 screws and slide out. and if you go that far check the blower wheel. the blades might have a buildup of crud making them less effective moving air.

Another issue... if your car has been parked under tress for any length of time and it has AC, the evaporator could be seriously blocked with crud.

Hi there i just did a little maintenance on mine the other day (would squeal for 5 to 10 min before would quiet down). I took it out...very tight spot had to move it around till i could find the angle that would work....blades on mine were gunked up pretty bad...also mine is an 89 and it still has the old replaceable brush type motor so unless ur comfortable taking that apart dont its a bear to put back together....any way my bearing was dry so i lubed it and cleaned every part i could..reassembled and good as new...at least until the brushes finally die they r about half gone not bad for pushing 29 years old! (I assume its the original blower.
.i did test it with jumpers after reassembly before returning it to its wee little hole....but as was already said i would check the resistor also could be either or both hope this helps

When it wont come on bang the motor with something. If it comes on its the motor. Of course both could be bad.

Would be nice to find replacement brushes.

You may have to source a used one from someone here (or on FB). Have you tested yours already?

I tested the motor and that works. Is there a way to test the resistor

Both of mine that acted up were due to worn ignition switches causing voltage problems to the motors, Jiggle the key see if it changes anything.

Alright I'll check that this weekend. And I tried the ignition trick and it didn't change anything
