First time Festiva Owner.. couple questions..

the holes that accept the ford oval hatch emblem are just past the blue part of the width of the oval. they're only about a 1/4" diam. the festy isn't really an american car. designed by mazda, all the parts were made in japan and assembled in korea by kia. i left my ford ovals on though so i can drive to my union jobsite and not get beat up.

i worked at a ford dealership for a few years, i think that's why i want to lose the logo, but that's also the same place i got the sweet hookup on the festy.
i guess i should have a little respect..

but everything else is coming off!

I used the rear end of a suberban from about 35 mph it worked pretty great.

I used a fine toothed hacksaw blade, no handle , to cut out the mass ,then used fine grit and scotchbrite to finish it .

If I don't completely debadge the car, I'm going to put KIA eblems on it. Dang that. I don't like Fords in the first place, and to put the Ford emblem on a car that's not Ford in any way is pretty lame, to me.

no it just relocated everything on the front end pushed the core support in about 3 1/2 inches and didn't bust the rad just the lights. pics r on my domain sight.

i was always a fan of all the tiny euro and japanese hatchbacks. in countries where fuel consumption is something everyone actually cares about and they size their cars accordingly..

i love the festiva cause it really stands out in a parking lot, it's tiny but tall, sort of like the SmartCar - i want people to take a look and go "What is that?" and when they look for an answer, i don't want them to find one.

Mazda
Kia

Stack them up
Then when they ask what is that , just say all 3 :lol:
Or take the first 3 letters and make it a ..

One of my buddies took two bmw M3 "M" badges and made them into a "VW" for his Jetta.

maybe i'll see if i can nab an "H2" off a hummer somewhere.. ahhaa.

haha i got a laugh over the roof rack and debadging thing, I have a group of friends that are into volkswagons and they all do a roof rack and debadge as a first mod when they get the car, my friends dont even have bikes or skis lol thats what makes it funnier.
