I'm telling you... It's really fun. It'll be a bit better once the weather warms up a bit though. We tried to find ourselves a second cache today and couldn't... The cold and snow took the best of us.
From the Geocaching site, a unit will run you between $100 and $1000... I went with a better unit, the GPSMap 60CSx because I figured I'd be using it for more than just caching... I paid $650 total for the unit, the US topo maps, City Navigator (all roads for North America) and then the car charger, windshield mount, carrying case, etc.
