You know, I don't care where in the states that car was. I would drive coast to coast to coast for that. Or fly coast to coast and drive back coast to coast. That's the kind of deal that eliminates the need to say "if only I were closer". Currently, in my book, you are the king of deals. You could turn that on ebay right now for 2 - 3 times what you have in it. I'd run that thing for the rest of your life if I were you.

just finished the paperwork an got er home a half hour ago. it like freezin out but i'm mesmerized checking every thing out before it gets too dark. can't wait to get it up on the ramps tomorrow to check underneath. the int is basically immac, even the carpet, cargo cover, spare tire board. when i opened the hatch there were even a new set of mudfaps she musta bought but never installed. NOT! the jack and spare have never been used. ashtray never been used. probably the lighter also. got the original key. the littl old lady that owned it is in cal on vacation but her neice said she probably still has the window sticker since she is a packrat so i might get a call to come get that some day. the alloys are scraped on the outer lip but nothing major and the caps are immac. basically the car just needs a wash/wax and shampoo detailing to be like new. wish i had a garage or the weather was warmer. trying to have it done for ohio meet. i got no plans for it right now other than to keep under 5k a yr on it. i will post more pics as i get it presentable

By the way my buddy scored an 86,000 mile aspire for $600 this week. He says he
got screwed because it doesn't have a catalytic converter. In VA you have to have one.
I still say he got hooked up. I'd turn that one on ebay though (after putting a cat. on it).

put 20 mi on it today. friggin funny- i'm driving it like an old lady. gentle accel, gentle stops. i usally drive like a pissed maniac in my 91 deathtrap. omg, i never had a festy so quiet and tight. didn't know they were so nice when new. first thing i noticed was how much higher you sit on foam cushions that haven't been compressed by 200k mi of butt. and i never saw a drivers visor where the little note and pen slot wasn't tearing. noticed a slight crease in a door below the moulding that i missed when i had stars in my eyes. also a lap belt escution is broke but i ordered a new one and a new brake pedal pad. started detailing the interior today since it was raining. you know whats funny is the dam window is stiff to roll down just like every other one i had when its cold. oh well just have to lube em up while i have the door panels off. i mean when i detail a car like this, i,m taking pieces off and out come the q-tips and toothpicks.
