cluster illumination?

were any of the festiva clusters backlit? i thought i had seen pictures of spedos with backlit numbers, not just the lights on the top.

the tach/speedo clusters are backlite

my white face tacho cluster is backlit in green, and the orange ones are in orange, but none of the non-tach ones i have seen have been backlit

I just noticed that the other day, I need a tach cluster just for saftey because I cannot read my stock cluster in the dark.

How many over-head bulbs did the non-tach clusters come with from the factory?

just wondering, because ive heard of people adding more. One of mine has 4 and the other has 2

Early orange ones had 4 bulbs while the white ones had 2

believe you are correct!
Because I swapped light bars from my 4 bulb white none tach cluster to the orange tach cluster which only had 2 bulbs.
Minor soldering skills needed.
Easy and much better visibility!

Has anyone put an MX6 cluster into a Fesitva? I have one..

^^^ I doubt it would fit inside the spot already prepared in the festiva's dash... the speedo should plug up though if you wanted to make a custom cluster from it, and the rest (fuel, temp and tach) are all electrical so a little soldering or other fabrication and you could put the guages in there, but probably not the complete cluster
