  • Got any plans for your festiva this summer?

Anyone else got plans for their festivas this summer? Carbonvmax asked me about my combination switch installation I was going to do three months ago and haven’t got to yet so I thought I should make a festiva top ten to do list.

    1. Install combination switch with new variable speed intermittent wiper

    2. Build another rear cargo cover now that I have more cargo cover hardware.

    3. Redford is leaking a little oil around the crank seal. When I got it someone had been running five quarts of oil in it. Probably do the timing belt, water pump, crank seal at the same time. Also needs new steering rack boots. Probably put new tie rod ends on. Ordered yesterday from FMS

    4. Window tint on one car.

    5. I have a new set of 12 inch hubcaps that are silver that I’m going to paint white

    6. Need to put the two sets of hockey stick stripes I got from F3BZ on two cars

    7. Going to switch out interior from latest festiva( Jerry ) to Redford,

    8. I need to replace the weather striping in my GL on the driver’s side and lube the track on both sides

    9. Got to put my clocks in yet

    10. Install upgrade parts from PH/UK that Festiva GTX is getting for us.

Etc.( install two more fog light kits, Locate a good orange factory radio I can afford, air needs charged in freshtiva, try to get latest festiva going or part it out)Etc

    I don’t think it ever ends …

Are you just putting in a new intermittent wiper switch or you have some other kind of switch?

Actually on one car I'm changing out the whole white combo switch for an orange one with intermittent wiper on it. On the other car I just need to add a variable speed intermittent switch arm and module to the combo switch. One task I forgot was to swap rear hatchs or rear windows from latest festiva to Redford. Any one close by that know how to swab rear glass out w/o breaking it? The new car has rear window defrost. and switch.

Wooooo Hoooo 25horseplay !! you must have a bigger operating buget and time constraint then me, Cool I love improvements. Im pesonally not ready to commit to a engine swap yet, its seems counter to the whole festiva experience for me. That is just my opinion, I know a lot of people are into the performance end of it. I think its cool, just not for me. Ive got a non festiva hot rod when I need the rush. Hey if you swap the auto for a manual I know someone that want the auto tranny mount.

                    Projects for the summer-
                    -install new P@P b6 motor
-new seats (if I can find some different style ones that fit would be great)
-all new rims (also don't know what fits :? ),
                    -custom tranny cooler (half done)
                    -custom downpipe(started)
-disassemble radiator and clean out cores
-flush heater completely this time so I don't freeze next winter like I did this one :?
-weld on new window winder on drives side
                    -fix glove box latch
-do something about flip-floppy gas lid
-install two round rally lights in the center of the lower grill
                    -trailer hitch
-build getto-looking trailer and get pulled over because of it

                    Projects underway now-
                    -custom intake
                    -custom ported exhaust manifold
                    -finishing up b6 build
-dismantling current motor in car to swap parts over to new engine, but still having to drive it

                      Tint the pop-outs
                      Install a front swaybar
                      Find/make adjustable swaybar.

Um there's more but not right now

I got plenty of time to do things but, no cash due to the lack of employment part.

                            -possibly a new amp

thats all i can think of right now
