I allways thought a VW turbo deisel would be cool in a festiva.....and actually give it some power......but somthing tells me that fitting it would be very hard.....we have problems with our engine swaps due to the steering rack and on VW's the exaust manifold/turbo are on the back side of the engine

Could be good idea if driving in city daily... I did think about it before installing the Kohler engine so I could save alot money with gas if I just do driving in city/traffic only. but I didn't have time to mess with my festiva and maybe in future I will keep in my mind.
I saw that a few months ago. Can you imagine what a turd it is? A stock Festiva is slow, now divide the power by 6 and you have quarter miles times measured with a sun dial, you could take a nap from 0-60 .....
