I would guess the reserve is in the $8000 range. Just because it cost $60,000 to build doesn't mean it's worth that much. I don't know the history of this car but I'm sure Gary paid to have everything done and that gets expensive very fast.
Yes it is low mileage, fast and unique but I'd rather have a BPT with a body kit for 10% of what this car originally costs.

I sent the seller a question and gave him the link to this site and this thread and invited him to join the discussion. Also asked what the reserve is (no answer yet).

I am sure it is worth every penny, and lets face it......That festiva is badder than any festiva on this board. And I would love to own that car.

I worked for MSX International and I had no idea that this was sitting there at HQ. I even talked to Gerry a couple of times, but not about car stuff.

I really hope this goes to a good home. I remember Gerry well and he was a nice guy when I talked to him. I don't think you have to worry about a kid buying this car, its really a track car and nothing else. I wonder what kind of times this car would post.

Got an response to how much the reserve is and he said:

"Less than 10% of the amount invested."

So I guess for around $6000 someone could have an awesome festiva.

I think I remember Gary had this very same car up for sale, 4,000.00 USD, in Grassroots Motorsports classified prior to this guy taking possession.

You are right, Rich, Gary sold this car about 2 years ago for 4k or best offer, I inquired about it then and he said it wouldn't make a very good street car, I'm guessing this guy bought it and added the interior and what not to try and make it more of a daily driver. I really rather doubt that it is as good a daily driver as he proposes on the eBay ad. A B3 that high strung is a race engine and probably very peaky, I don't doubt the car is fast, but the first thing I would do is take out the race B3 and replace it with a B6 DOHC to which I would add those mikunis from the race engine. It's a nice car, I just doubt he gets more then $4K or so.

Damn I got out bid. Oh well I didn't really have the money for that type of project any how. And I was upset when I looked at the pics and saw that the jackass cut out half of the roll cage to make room for that Gay ass interior. Oh well.

what all does the engine have done? how much powa is that thing making?

And the car is awesome, but first thing i'd do is rip out those stock seats. IMO the upholstery looks fugly & the car needs something more racy anyways. Rest of it looks sweet!

nix that stupid nostril looking hood scoop too, and all that bright red inside the car, looks like red shag carpet in the back.
