'90 Festiva L- Plus 1.3L FI 5speed
Son wants us to replace the leaking original valve cover gasket, on his proud "new" car.
( I always use Fel-Pro Perma-Dry gaskets and never have further leaks.)
The gasket box says only "Torque to OEM specifications."
BUT his ALLDATA online manual does not list a torque value for the valve cover/gasket.
And the Haynes Manual #36030 is not in stock at local Advance or Autozone stores , and the 1 copy in the library is out and on hold.
I can hand tighten for now, since its been leaking since he got it anyway.
But if anyone can help, we certainly appreciate it.
Any other "new owner" suggestions also?
( I have quickly scanned through this site but not in depth (yet). GREAT SITE !)
I have already stopped the biggest oil flood by replacing the dried out O-ring on the distributor. ( $2 )
And hopefully the other end ( @ the cam , crank, timing belt ) still has good seals.
Car runs great and is a ball of fun!
AC ( R134 convert) even works great!
THANKS!
