This is my first day on here cuz I bought an '88 Festiva. Anyways, I followed this thread like a soap opera and I am absolutely rooting(sp) for your success. I think if you divide his instructions into its' smaller components, it'll be easier for you.

It is quite obvious FB71 knows what he's talking about and you obviously are fearless, strong willed, and highly trainable. Sounds to me like a very lethal combo to conquering this irritating lil' prob!

My only question is, though you have checked all grounds and connections, did you check the tire pressure in the right rear? That'd be my luck! Just remember when you get this up and running you will have discovered it was something simple and you and only you will know the best way to diagnose and fix it.......thus, the pupil becomes the teacher!

It's funny you say that, Grasshopper... My right rear tire was down to 10psi when I checked it tonight!!

I'm going to spend tonight figuring out how to use a volt/ohm meter (I said I had one, not that I knew how to use it :read: ) Then, saturday, I'm going to push the car into the barn (I think I will try strapping some skis on, probably be easier) and try out our merciless overlord's intructions. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky. (Friday's set aside for :headbang: ccasion5: )
