FMS may be, or try to take to your Ford dealer the sample of the broken bushing. If that fails....... JunkYard it is!!!!!

AFAIK there shouldn't be an input shaft bearing for the AT festies, that's reserved for the manual tranys only (yeah, just confirmed this with the factory manual.)
      Trees aren't kind to me...

      currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

there is a small bushing that goes between the torque inverter and the flywheel, it sits into the indent in the end of the crank, I just had mine out swaping the motor

to what purpose is that bushing for?? there are no mentionings of it in my factory manuals. does the t/c contact the bushing in any way, or is it possibly used as a locator for instalation? i'd like to know myself.

I think its just a spacer, it sits in a recess on both the crank and the torque inverter, kinda sandwiched in there, hears a picture of it sitting in its recess in the center of the crank, it knida looks like part of the crank in this pic though

don't know if you'll be able to make it out on this diagram. in the upper left corner is part#6381. this is described on the ford parts fiche as 'ADAPTER(CRANKSHAFT TO CONVERTER) full ford part# is E9GZ6381A.
