I had to replace the bushings in my ‘88 several years ago, and found a lot of info from the Mazda Protege ppl (ours are pretty much identical)
Mazda part numbers:
B001-46-062 - Bushings at the Transaxle, you'll need 2
GA2a-46-062 - Bushings at the Shifter, also 2
Fancy bushings:
Protege Bronze Oil Shifter Bushings -Machined to much closer tolerances than the original ones, these shifter bushings will eliminate sluggishness
A how-to that’s pretty darn close:
1990 Festiva - Throttle Body/Manual Transmission
Bought in 2003 with 65k, now 219k
1988 Festiva - Carb/Manual Transmission
Bought in 2015 with 150k
