I replaced the ECU in mine a couple of years ago and it made no difference. But, because it's an electrical part, it could not be returned and I ate the $400.00 charge for a new ECU. BE SURE you have an ECU problem before you decide to replace it.

Not the expert to ask about interchanging relays from model years...typically something like this does not change between model years...some one please help.

Seriously...any decent mechanic should be able to figure this out (interghangability) or have the skill to retrofit an aftermarket relay.

          ^^^ agreed

and yes, any 90-93 main relay will work.

I also suspect but can't prove a EFI '89 might work as well!
So gives you a larger range to try an hunt down a replacement!

Discontinued thru ford list price 214.16....Ouch! Dealer cost was around 97 bucks tho.

Maybe you can get a parts store to cross over the motorcraft part# DYE-615

yes that's the one...says: main relay. on your diagram...has a cannon plug/quick connect...but i've called around using the motorcraft number and nada....my next guess is see who can rebuild it....

You really should be able to make one work with some female spade connectors and a wiring diagram.

I looked for one for a long time, then decided to just buy a relay for $10 and make it work they can be retrofit quite easily.
that was just before I found out that wasn't the problem.
                        it runs so sweet
