  • I can't FIX IT @$@#$@!

I just bought a different ECU for my 91 festy and can't get it to run right. The MAF sensor is new and shows the proper reading values back to the ECU, yet it still throws the code for the MAF out of range. It's really getting to me cause you can't floor it and it runs so rich I'm only getting 35MPG and its causin misfires etc. I'm havin real problems and some input would be nice. I'm about ready to buy a new O2 sensor for it to, but I just really want to find the problem first. Thanks in advance for any advice.

How do you know the sensor value is correct? If it is measured at the sensor and not the ECU....it could be a wiring problem.
Vacuum leaks could cause a MAF fault code....Do you know the propane torch trick to locate a vacuum leak???? Works realy well!!!

I fixed it so if anybody has the same problems with this, I could help them before they go through what I did!
