Yeah, I think that's what I'm gonna do..... When I install a manual switch, at what temp./point on the temp. gauge should I turn it on?

Haha, stupid sounding question I know. I just wanted to know when it would kick on automatically since mine has never done so, and I would have a better idea of when to turn it on. WOAH!!!! don't touch that wire!!!! something in the back of my head says that's an info wire from the ECU. i'll have to verify that (or someone here can) but i wouldn't just start touching wires to loads like that.
the T-stat housing wire is the one that controls the fan relay. if you heard a clocking sound when messing with it, that means that at least HALF of the relay is working. try that again, but this time unplug the fan from the harness and using a meter, test for ground and power at the fan plug. if you have both, you proly have a bad motor.Trees aren't kind to me...
