Well, last night I took off the drivers rear strut/shock. Seems like its gonna be difficult putting the new one in. I pushed on the top of the one i took out, just barely, and it went all the way down and didn't come back up, ha. think its time for new ones? The spring looks ok to me, but is there anything I should look for? Obviously the whole time I've had the car the springs have been doing all the work. I can post some pics later if that would help. Should I get new insulators for the perch at the top? Or can you even get those anywhere? Thanks!

no, don't paint the wheel cylinders. The surface rust on them doesn't hurt them one bit. The paint may, however, react poorly with the rubber parts. I don't know what solvent is used in that rust-converter stuff. Plain old Rustolem Red Oxide spray paint works great, and doesn't atteck the rubber, if used sparingly.Jim DeAngelis
