  • Smoking from radiator area

    Hey guys maybe you can help me out...intermittenly my festy has been smoking from what looks to be right around the radiator cap...It doesnt do it all the time but when it does its a lot of smoke any ideas??? thanks in advance

    you may want to try a differant cap.....it may be going bad and starting to blow off a little before it actually should. Hopefully not a crack around the neck. Did you check the tube that runs from under the cap to the overflow bottle?

      my radiator cracked right at the neck, i never got any smoke. but i did get a mist all over the engine bay. i used some blue gasket make to cover the crack and its been fine since.

        Could be overflow. I used to notice a bit of water vapour (not smoke) rising from the front of the hood when I stopped at home to open the garage door. Never did anything about it.

          Mine did that one day going to work. Found out I had a pinhole in the little curved bypass hose that was spraying onto the manifold.
