Im looking at the Haynes manual and figure 7.30 shows a Timing Belt Positioner. The problem I have is that my pulleys, spacers and positioner look nothing like that illistration. In fact it almost appears like the positioner is pressed on. I did try to pry on it a little, but didnt want to somehow damage it. I havent broken out the BFH yet, because again I dont want to damage it.
The Haynes manual also shows 2 additional screws that mine never had.
I only have a shop manual for 1990 (mines 93) I figured there wouldnt be a lot of difference. But it shows the same thing on page 21-05-13 #6 as the Haynes manual.
Does anyone else with a 93 have a pulley set up like this? If so, have you changed the timing belt and how did you get the positioner off?
