oil light on at idle???

turned out it was the connection as it works normal now.

to think I almost changed the oil!!

^^Good news.....low oil pressure is not a good thing.

I never prime the filters.
When I rebuild an engine....all of the journals are painted with moly. Then I pour two qts or so into the block before the head(s) are on and crank the engine until oil pumpd out of the block to the head ports. Then...with the valve covers off...I fill the engine with by pouring oil all over the valve/train. Also some engines require that the lifters or lash adjusters be primed with oil during re-assembly.

I was hoping not to have to do any major work on my baby and it all worked out.
I would be lost without my car .
