Well, I replaced the coil today as the light was failing and ran the Baron for 15 minutes with no problems...I will take it for an extended run around the area tomorrow, but it looks as though the coil did the trick...thanks again, guys!!

replaced coil car runs again! however when I got home the smell of gas about killed me. I dont have any leaks anywhere that i can see the smell seems to be coming straight from the carb. My gas mileage dropped about 10 mpg so I am assuming that the car is using more fuel than it needs and when i stop the unused fuel in the carb is causing the smell. Is there a way to adjust the amount of fuel and air in the carb?1988 p.o.s. (228,000 and still going)

but don't try, trust me, it sux. more likely, you have a cracked fuel hose, inspect them thouroghly for wetness. also look around the bowl seal and float glass areas.Trees aren't kind to me...
