    well my speedo cable isnt lining up i think the dirt and stuff in the way and where the 10 mm bolt is the flange that attches to it broke off.....omg so now what????

      Don't panic about the tab being broke off. It is actually kinda common. As long as the rubber o-ring on the gear is still good, it should stay in pretty tight.

        my whole speedo cable wont come out.... bolts off but ot wont come out... safe to drive to a parts store??????

              I'll bet someone at the parts store might be able to help. It can be kinda tight to get in and out.

                      dragonslit, i know you say you cant afford a manual, if you have a library close to you, check with them, they may have a Ford manual, or even a Haynes manual you can check out. Its worth a try. You really need a manual

                        Dragonslit, did you try wiggling the gear assembly from side to side and front to back while pulling? Also did you try rotating it while pulling? On my car it sticks and it takes some wiggling and rotating until it comes out suddenly - after I put it back in it can either come out easily or else sticks again, depending in its mood. It can appear frustrating at first but you can get it out easily.
