If it doesn't start, how did you check your alternator?
          Will it crank at all?

Yes, more details, what is the history of the car? previous problems? Miles?
I know the old keep your "foot on the gas and brake" routine. could possibly be a burnt valve(s), but it should still start...possibly...I'll try and help you, just post more relevant/irrelevant info

Maybe check the injectors. Take them out and use a 9V to see if they "click". Then spray them out with your favorite aerosol carb cleaner.

Listen to injecters with cheapo stethescope from Harbor Freight, or long screwdriver- listen for consistent clicking noise-if you hear nothing then injector not working

noid lights will test fuel injector feed circuits, plug them in, start engine and see if light goes on n off, showing electrical pulses for the injector

Is the fuel pump coming on? Might need to reset the inertia switch located over the driver's side rear shock tower......

^^ or maybe the fuel pump itself is dying out??

Hey, everyone me thinks we are getting ahead of ourselves.
Let her/him get us some answers back on some basic questions before we start to bombard them with guesses as to what it might be.
Some of you could well be correct, but with multiple lines of reasoning going on I fear nothing is going to help.
We need to get information on the condition the engine is in now and form a coherent plan to isolate and correct the cause.
I see this happing on a few other similar threads.
Also keep in mind these people may not have the skills/tools you have.
Example (This only and example not trying to "call out" anyone), but "pulling an injector" is probably something this person has never done.
We might want to be more explicit in our instructions.
Maybe even create a step by step procedure so someone with little/no experience can do this correctly and reinstall said injector, or EGR, or fuel pump, etc.
