  • valve cover bolts

hello there. does any one know a good way to tighten valve cover bolts? my manual says 44-80 inch pounds but i only have ft. lbs torque and no 1/2 10mm plus a few ft lbs doest seem tight enough for a major engine part. cheers

hand tight, and DON"T crank on it. i use the wrist method: tighten with fingers till you can go any more and give it one good twist with the WRIST (not arm). it actually gets it pretty close.
