I had the same symptoms with an early, fuel injected RX7. Once warm and pressurized, the injectors would bleed in fuel while the engine was off. It was almost impossible to start unless it sat for 2 hours after I turned it off. This is common for early 13B rotaries, but I have not heard of it for Mazda's piston engines. Still, it sounds like the injectors are bleeding in fairly badly once they are warm and pressurized. You could experiment with releasing the fuel pressure as soon as you turn the car off and see if that helps.Thricetiva replaced Icetiva as the new ride

You can check the fuel pressure at the rail to see if the left over psi that remains, slowly bleeds out. I would go as far as removing the rail and injectors and see what happens.Used to own: 1993 mitsubushi eclipse GS-T and 1990 eagle talon tsi AWD turbo.

if it's a bleed down issue, put your pedal to the floor while cranking, this should clear out the puddled fuel more quickly.Trees aren't kind to me...

A little off topic... but..Rx7 are nothing like the b3.. Rx7 just dont start because of warn apex seals.some rx7 if you dont let them warm up all the way or drive long enough and shut them off the next time they wont start you have to pull the injection fuse and crank it for a few to clear out the built up fuel put the fuse back in try again if that doesnt work repeat sometimes it wont work so you have to pull the sparkplugs and sqirt in ATF cause all the sealing oil got washed away by the extra fuel and it lost compression ............... I think you should try a coolant temp that could make it rich or an intake air temp in the VAF check your CEL codes and see if you have any. here is the link on checking them http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...=trouble+codes http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...=trouble+codesLast edited by ketchup; 03-25-2009, 10:41 PM.YOU WILL HEINZ 57!!!!
