      Thanks for the help. I changed the dist from one from the junk yard. It ran for a little bit but still doing the same crap. I'm just going to sell it. I did put in fuses instead of the fuseable link. Did the same thing. I tried to pull codes but I dont know which one does what. I smoked one of the fuseable links trying to do so. Thats when I changed to the fueses.

        Hemi is your Festiva a carburettor model? if is is there is a sneaky thing called a choke breaker and that one caught me out, its has a little diaphragm that can cause heaps of trouble if it is not sealing and your Festy will run like a bag of ......whatever..... until it warms up, its easily replaceable.

        It sits on the top part of the carby and has a vacuum line connected to it, if you suspect it remove it and suck on the metal tube to make sure it is working

          Nope. It's fuel injected. I wish it was. I still have it. After this weekend it will go for sale unless I can fix it. I don't have high hopes.
