That looks like the factory setup I just put in my car. My daughter and son-in-law have the car for the weekend but I'll try to get photos for you early next week. I've got the factory wiring manuall too so I'll scan the pages you need and send them along.

Sounds good. I have the factory manual for the 88 fety but this system doesn't look the same.

I am of the understanding that there are 3 different and distinct A/C systems for these cars.

From what I have been told, I currently have the dealer system mostly installed.

The new setup seems to not jive with the factory stuff so I am merely assuming that it's an aftermarket system.

This is very confusing and frustrating. I wish there were some Festy enthusiasts who were A/C experts nearby to help me out...

Well, Just got back from checking out two other festy's in another j/y and no luck. No Aspire's either. I even checked mazdas and other imports and fords to see if I could find something compatible... No luck...

I did find a festy with a sunroof...

        Anybody have any suggestions?

By the time I finally get A/C in this car I should be an expert in all things festiva (especially A/C)

Can Anyone give me any other info I might be able to use to put this system together??? It's getting hot out and the festy has had to be parked...

Please help get the poor little festy back on the road where it belongs....

                Thanks, I need it.

Well, I finally got a price quote today. They want $75 to fab me a simple 10" hardline with the female o-ring ends. I'd also have to pay to ship my stuff to them so that they can make it right and the return shipping as well.

I wonder how many Festy owners have retrofitted A/C into their cars and run into such a hassle? With my luck I'll find what I need after having spent a bunch of money to make it work...:angry3:

                  VICTORY IS MINE!!!!!:p

Many thanks for the help from everyone but most thanks to Sparky who went and found the parts that I needed.

I hooked it all up finally and got the AC charged and it still didn't work

Found out there is a short. We jumped a few connections and everything works so we just have to fix the wiring issue and we'll be in business...

                      Thanks Sparky,

We've been fixing this car for my wife to drive back and forth to school. Luckily, she's ASE Certified in Automotive Electronics. :p We had a hard time figuring out the crappy schematics off the All Date prinout and useing the factory service manual which is pretty weak to say the least... Anyway, we just need to service one wire this morning and we should be in business.

                      Finally!
