short in car

omg you poor guy. i have no more info to help did you try to jump those 2 wires in that plug i was talkin bout?? on the top of the colum i cant remember what fuse it was but those wires made the fuse pannel have no voltage. on that fuse.

also make sure you dont have the brake and clucth switch connected backwards bc i did that and i couldint get it to start. bc the plugs are the same

well i was going to stay with my 88 colum and it dont have that plug
but no matter waht shouldnt it at least turn sumthing on in the dash
i did get 4 ways and blower motor and horn and coolent fan but they would come on when i turn lights on and the wipers and the right stuff dont work

what if i cut a grond and had to splice them and made it all to one wire and gronded it to the car

god i hate to say it but it sounds like the harness has something really wrong. if you have acces to another harness i would give it a shot. i went through 3 harnesses b4 i finally got it to work right.

i tried to cut grounds and put them togother but some of them go to the computer and it made my harness usless

ok i has my gf's dad look at the car and he says if it was makein the horn and fan go off when i turned sumthing else on that it is serching for ground so maybe i have a ground problem

i messed wit some stuff and now it cranks but no dash lights when i turn key on so what plug was it that you had to jumper to get your lights?

ok i will crank but i still have colum problems no dash lights no turn singals no lights at all no high beams i have 4ways but when the lights are turned on the cooling fan turns on. then if i turn the wipers on and pull twards me like if i was going to spreay washer fluid. and when i turn key on the fan stays on like it is in limp home mode

ok i got it to run but i used starting fluid to do it so im sure the tps not bing hooked up is y it wont start on its own power but i am about to buy a tb to day so hopefuly it will arive by friday so i can take it to the track and hang out and show every one

Is your intake hose connected?

yep i just waited half hour and turned the key on and off a few times then it started right up and ran as nice as ever. just that my fuel lines leak because i cant get two clamps that are small enough. would the tps being unpluged make the ecu go too open loop?(limp home mode) i think thats it. now if it did go to open loop mode it would make the cooling fan on when i turn the key on right?? not when i turn lights on like i have said earlyer
