I'm using the BP VAF but the car will start on the festiva VAF. Not sure about the one wire.

ok i got it running but now i am havein a problem with my maf. ok the second to last prong that is a goldish color the plug it is a white wire in the festiva harness. ok if that wire is unpluged from the maf the car will run but you hit the gas it dies if you plug it in ti wont run if you unplug it and start it then plug it in while it is running it will die. um does any one know what that prong is for and what pin it is on the ecu plug? its a 91 harness

have you looked at the sticky on the top of this forum on "wiring diagrams"

ok i put the festiva maf in the car and it runs better and i can rev it up but slowly but i can rev it and also the white wire is not hooked up becasue it still wont start with it

ok remember how the egt was running wierd stubling and fallin on its face when i try to rev it up fast. well that is what the car is doing i want to know if any one knows it i change to the four prong tps and wire it up if it would fix it?? any one think so?

didnt find any thing but posted it so il wait thanks matt.
i took it down the road to day hit 20mph in thrid gear thats bout as fast as i could go haha but it is running better with the festiva maf

I wouldn't drive much with the festiva vaf on I'm sure it could mess up the engine. Might make it run lean.

yeah i jsut went down the street to drop off a gas can. and i think its a problem with my harness so i am going jy to get another one today so il try that one
