do i need a strut compressor? i have never done this and has been told it is easy.And any hints beside pb blaster the bolts? BTW i am using FMS lowing springs and KYB GR2's.

Yes you will need a spring compressor, it is easy. All I did was soaked the bolts with PB blaster a for a few days before changing them, then hit them with an impact and they came off with no problems.-93' L BP swap/e-series, coilovers, RIO front swap, redrilled festy drums, Miata 14" 7 spokes.

I'd say about 20-25 minutes per side, less than an hour for both sides.-93' L BP swap/e-series, coilovers, RIO front swap, redrilled festy drums, Miata 14" 7 spokes.

I take them off all the time without a spring compressor. Putting them on is a different story!!!---------------------------------------------------

Yep, I did my rears first, which was what made me think I could do the fronts without a compressor. Getting the fronts off without a compressor, easy. Putting them back on, you'd better be Arnold.Originally posted by GenevaDirt View Post

When installing the FMS lowering springs you won't need a spring compressor. But watch taking them apart, the spring will launch!Comment
