do i need a strut compressor? i have never done this and has been told it is easy.And any hints beside pb blaster the bolts? BTW i am using FMS lowing springs and KYB GR2's.

Yes you will need a spring compressor, it is easy. All I did was soaked the bolts with PB blaster a for a few days before changing them, then hit them with an impact and they came off with no problems.-93' L BP swap/e-series, coilovers, RIO front swap, redrilled festy drums, Miata 14" 7 spokes.

When I did mine, I jacked around for a stupid amount of time trying to do it without spring compressors, finally broke down, went into town, bought a set of compressors, and had both sides done in less than an hour. And maybe I just got lucky, but I didn't really have any problem with nuts and bolts rust welded. Just my experience, tho.

I take them off all the time without a spring compressor. Putting them on is a different story!!!---------------------------------------------------
