Hi everyone, I sold my 88 lx about a year and a half ago and missed it quite a bit. Last week I found a 92 gl in good shape but overheating. There's a noticeable amount of oil in the cooling system (radiator cap has milky deposits) but no water in the oil. I though it could be a headgasket problem, but wouldn't you also see water in the oil? Anyway, I changed the oil and it was clean. Aside from the overheating issue, the car is in great shape. I also removed the valve cover and re-torqued the head bolts and removed the radiator to flush it. I also removed the thermostat housing to see if the problem was there only to find that the previous owner had removed the t-stat already. After putting everything back together, the car is not overheating anymore but there's still oil in the coolant. Again, no water/coolant in the oil. Any thoughts??
Anyway, I got the car for $400 so I'm really happy even if I have to replace the head or the engine. I already replaced the stereo with an Alpine IDA-X100 unit and now I need to go get some decent speakers.
