Take your time. Remember to drain you tranny fluid first. (D'oh!) Do them one at a time. If you pull them both at once, there's a chance they will not go back in correctly. Not too bad a job, I did both of mine, plus struts and some other stuff, in a day. Be careful when removing them from the tranny, it'll take a bit of tugging, but don't overdo it. When the old one is out, and the new one goes in, make sure it's in all the way. Otherwise, you'll get everything back together, take her for a spin, and the CV will pop back out.
Remember to refill the tranny, and be careful pulling the speedo cable/tranny fill plug out, that you don't twist the speedo cable.
Really, time, patience, and make sure you have everything before you start are my best advice.
Almost forgot, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use a hammer to beat the new CV back in. If it's not wanting to go in all the way, pull it back out and make sure the tranny seal is in place. DO NOT use a BFH, no matter how tempting, to force the CV in.
Umm, Yep, there's fluid in there. Pull a shaft without draining it, and you'll see. Trust me, not fun laying in a pool of fluid changing CVs because I forgot to drain the tranny first.
My 1988 owner's manual, for the manual transaxle, says it's capacity is 2.6 quarts, US, and should be DEXRON II automatic transmission fluid.
2.6 US Quarts for manual trany is what my Ford manual says for the '92.
So think thats accurate!

My 1993 Ford manual says to put a new circlip in the groove, with the gap facing up. Why facing up? I have no idea. I do know some people seem to have trouble getting the axles to stay in and some don't.
Qroger
It really isn't that hard.
The worst part is refilling the tranny with ATX, because of its location.
