Ok, so my 92 GL has had this problem since I got it. Sometimes when I go to take off, it's like the throttle doesn't recognize me pushing the accel. ped. It dies which makes me feel like an idiot and makes other people think I don't know how to drive a stick. Even if you let out super slow, the car doesn't idle fast enough to move the car. It just dies. Now, on the other hand, once you get going, this thing gets quick. It doesn't really "get quick" until higher RPMs though. At first it is like a dog, but when the rpms go up, it picks up and moves. Could this be a fuel pressure regulator? I don't think it is the fuel pump, because it still gets the fuel, just not as much as I think it should, and with higher rpms, it gets plenty. At first, I was thinking TPS, but I changed it out with another, and it had the same problem. It may be a coincidence and maybe they were both bad, but I don't know. I am just getting tired of having to start it back up in the middle of the road at a green light. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Low idle problem

Ok, it's getting worse! Now it dies just sitting there idling if it is in gear at a stop light. As soon as you put it in gear, it idles so low it dies. I had a problem with it the other day that I did not put on here. The alt. belt came off while I was on my way home. I noticed it soon enough that the temp gauge only got about 3/4 of the way up. I let it sit overnight in a parking lot, and came back the next day to replace it. I replaced it right there, and ever since, it has a ticking noise. I don't think it got hot enough to do any damage, but I'm not sure. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. ThanksThe normal is not always normal... MOST is not ALL... And any job can be hard if you don't have the right tools!!!
